AKWarm Energy Use Software
Let us introduce Alaska Housing Finance Corporation’s computerized home energy audit tool. It was developed to assist energy raters, weatherization assessors, builders, designers and homeowners to evaluate the energy performance of homes.
AkWarm was designed in Alaska specifically for Alaska’s residential housing needs.
AkWarm Will Allow You to:
- Create, modify and save a house data file.
- Analyze energy use.
- Show compliance with the Alaska Building Energy Efficiency Standard for new construction.
- Generate a Home Energy Rating that is accepted by all the major lending institutions (Fannie Mae, Freddy Mac, VA, FHA, AHFC) for use in obtaining energy efficient mortgages, and by AHFC for obtaining an energy efficiency interest rate reduction.
- Compute the savings of individual energy conservation measures.
- Produce reports on home energy use and improvement recommendations. AkWarm's "Annual Heat Flows" report has been accepted by municipal building code departments for showing design heat load calculations.
